This workshop is an excellent introduction to discover the benefits of Thai Massage and Wall Yoga. These modalities help us transition out of our sympathetic nervous system (fight, flight, or freeze) and into our parasympathetic system (rest and digest). Thai Massage is a technique that combines yoga and massage, providing passive, assisted stretching to improve flexibility and mobility. Wall Yoga uses the wall for support in restorative poses where we hold poses for an extended period of time, so props will be used as needed. Clients report an overall sense of calm and peace, while also gaining flexibility and a deeper, fuller breath.
We will begin with legs up the wall and transition onto the floor where gentle adjustments will be incorporated throughout the class along with aromatherapy. During an extended Savasana (30-45 minute), Naomi will offer Thai Massage.
