Regular Group Yoga Classes are 75 minutes.

Our yoga classes focus on beginners and are great for seasoned yogis with beginners' hearts.  

All Yoga Classes at Live Oak are designed to keep you safe and guide you through a pleasant exploration of Yoga and its benefits. We choose to keep our class sizes cozy, so you won’t be lost in a sea of people. At Live Oak, we will take good care of you.

Below you will find information to assist you in choosing the right class for you. 

Gentle Yoga (All Levels): Gentle Yoga is perfect for everyone, especially those who are brand new to yoga. It is an appropriate level for Seniors, pregnant women, as well as those suffering from an injury or chronic pain. It is a relaxing class format, designed to relieve stress and tension in the body and mind. “Normal” yoga poses are modified for supreme comfort and the relaxation is deep and nourishing. It’s a wonderful class for anyone wanting to wind down or for someone coming back to yoga for the first time in a long time. 

Restorative Yoga (All Levels): Recharge energy reserves, heal the effects of stress and bring nervous systems into a more balanced state.  This meditative practice cultivates a necessary balance between body and mind while dissolving physical and mental tension.  Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing practice of supported poses, guided relaxation, yogic breathing and an extended savasana (final resting pose).  Leave feeling renewed and restored.

Yoga Basics (Level 1): Yoga Basics is appropriate for most people who are new to yoga as well as seasoned practitioners who want to return to the roots of yoga and focus on alignment, breathing exercises, and remember how to practice meditation. There is plenty of verbal instruction for this class, so no prior knowledge is necessary. This class can be an in depth review for someone who has a strong home practice and it is the perfect place to begin developing a new yoga practice.        

Candlelit Yoga (Level 1): Step into the surroundings of a uniquely illuminated candlelit studio with soothing tunes to guide you away from the stresses and tensions of the day. This class offers inspired sequences full of sun salutations, a variety of balance and stretching challenges. Develop higher levels of strength, focus and flexibility, nourishing both body and mind, with an emphasis on calming poses to transition the body down to prepare for a deep and healing night’s sleep.

Pilates (Level 1): Focus on improving your flexibility, strength and body awareness, to produce long, lean and balanced bodies.  Students will condition the entire body by focusing on the Pilates principles of: proper alignment, centering, concentration, control, precision, breathing and flowing movement.  Come ready to sweat, work your core and have fun! For comfort, it is recommended, but not required, to use a Pilates mat, which is thicker than a yoga mat.

Vinyasa Flow Basics (Level 1): This beginner's class teaches you the foundations of Vinyasa Flow, a dynamic style of yoga that links breath with movement.  Learn many different variations/modifications to make sure you are practicing at your own pace. Connect these poses through attention to breathing, alignment & mindfulness.  Over time, movement in the sequence will become fluid and the mind will be able to relax. Vinyasa Flow teaches us to cultivate an awareness that links each action to the next - on the mat and in our lives.  

Vinyasa Flow (Level 1/2): Incorporate the postures of yoga into a flowing sequence, linking breath with movement.  Move fluidly through a challenging Vinyasa practice, while encouraging each practitioner to move into the poses at their own pace.  This class will combine basic instruction with options for challenging modifications, including lots of core work and more advanced postures.  This flowing sequence will leave you grounded centered and inspired!

Warm Flow (Level 1/2): Move smoothly and naturally through Vinyasa in a warm studio.  Enhance flexibility and release impurities with a glistening, purifying sweat.  Wring out toxins, reduce water weight, burn calories and tone the entire body.  End in a blissful savasana to soak in all the benefits.  Create strength, freedom and fluidity in both the body and mind.  

Core Yoga (Level 1/2): A focused and fun class, enjoy creative sequences, great music and incredible group energy.  An Ashtanga-inspired practice with combinations of Vinyasa flow make this yoga experience challenging and innovative.  Core Yoga classes flow through poses designed to strengthen and lengthen the core muscles that will support you through everything you do.

Yin Yang Yoga (Level 1/2): Experience the balancing effects of Yin (passive) & Yang (active). This class begins with a fiery Yang practice (Vinyasa) to build heat, this heat helps to prepare the body to melt deeply in your Yin (restorative) practice. 

Private Yoga Lessons are available by appointment. Private sessions are a wonderful way to be introduced to yoga. They are also perfect for those who prefer more one-on-one interaction, allowing for the instructor to tailor the practice to the needs and goals of the student. Schedule anytime.
